Toronto Metropolitan University's Bold and Black Girl Hockey Club Canada recently hosted an insightful webinar on BIPOC excellence and leadership in sports. The event featured a discussion on the challenges and opportunities faced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) athletes in the sports industry. The conversation included BGHC-CA Executive Director, Saroya Tinker, who shared her experiences and insights on how BIPOC athletes can excel and become leaders in their respective sports. The webinar provided a great platform to raise awareness and promote positive change in the sports industry, inspiring BGHC scholarship recipients, SaroyaStrong mentees and young BIPOC athletes to pursue their passions and strive for excellence.
